Why does it seem like the most exciting times go by so fast?? We just had the most wonderful AND FUN time with everyone! Ok, Our visit with Santa was a little chaotic and really stressed me out, but a lunch at Nordstrom Bistro made me feel much better. Hadley and Addison LOVED decorating cookies, gingerbread houses, coloring, and all things creative with Nonnie and their aunts. Here are some pictures from the week. My favorite Christmas yet!!

Well, let me start by saying that our world has gotten ever more chaotic/exciting/crazy/fun. (If that is even possible) Ryder has decided to become a full grown boy at 8 months. He is climbing, standing, walking, spitting, growing his 4th tooth, eating everything, stealing toys from his sisters and banging everything he can get his hands on. All with the help of his two sisters trying to direct him and his mother who is trying to keep everyone alive. So, I have gotten a little behind in the blog. Stuff moves pretty fast around here, so I sleep when I can and meet my husband out for drinks when I have a second to take a shower and put make-up on. The weather has been so hot so my little bakers have been helping me in the kitchen. Here are some pictures, in no particular order, and I also apologize for the run-on sentences...

Fathers Day 2011

We had a great Fathers Day with all the Pitts!! Trevor and I have gotten into a little Sunday morning routine. I like to refer to it as "SPG". (Starbucks, Park, Grocery) Everyone seems to like this ritual and all 5 of us stay happy, well fed, and caffeinated. We grilled out Salmon for dinner and toasted all the great Fathers in our lives!! When I was a little girl my parents put all of us in a car on the weekends and would drive to some remote location with the promise of a "nice drive", "cool lake", or at the very least..."ice-cream along the way". Well, the three of us stuffed in the back of a station wagon feeling car sick was not my idea of fun. I promised myself that when I had kids I would never do that to them...Well, can you believe it? Here I am...Kids, car, random waterfall. And, of course - Fresh strawberry Ice-Cream!

There are times when my thoughts are overwhelmed with proudness as a mommy of these two girls. This week was one of those times. They started a new camp this week. I knew there would be a little hesitation because it was something new. They held their lunch boxes in one hand and each others hand and walked right into a new experience. This is a shot before we left in their camp t-shirts.

We have had some major changes in the Pitt household this week. Ryder is crawling. EVERYWHERE!

All the places the girls stayed away from (fireplace, stairs, bar stools, outlets) he is into.

The girls started summer camp on Monday. Took them one day to adjust and now they love it. They also have moved to a toddler bed. I think they love this idea, but not for sleeping. We will see what happens on this front.

I am still trying to get a picture of all 3 looking at the camera. I guess I will keep working on that too :) All in all, we are all happy, healthy and enjoying the summer together!

Early Morning Time. All Clean Diapers. All cuddly and warm from their sleep. Quiet and loving. All good moods. All in our king bed...

This does not last very long because someone gets thirsty for milk, thinks the bed is a trampoline, or kicks Ryder in the head...But, for those 10 min...It is my FAVORITE way to wake up!!

Ryder's 20 pound self is 7 months old! He is sitting by himself and about to start crawling. Hadley and Addison ADORE him and the feeling is mutual for now.

All the family came in town for the first annual "Girls Spa Trip". Luckily all the family was on deck to watch the kiddos.

Well, all three kiddos LOVE the water. We spend a lot of time outside now that the weather is warm/hot. Addison makes sure no blade of grass goes without water, Hadley makes sure we all know the colors of each toy, flower, and snack, and Ryder...he is the life guard while the girls are in the pool...

I just love this event! I remember going last year and thinking about how I could. not. wait. for the girls to be able to partake in some of the fun things they have for kids.

Grammie Toni had her last day of work this past week. Her boss and Robert had a glorious Celebration Tea in her honor. I truly do not know what I would do without this woman in my life and I am so happy for her upcoming adventures. (Some of those adventures have already included helping me take all 3 kiddos to the doctor for a well visit...) She will be in England for the next month. We will miss her!!

They are so smart, so beautiful, so FUNNY! They look at the world without knowing any prejudice, hate, or unkind actions. This is only found in a young child. They are so amazing to me! I still remember the first time I held them and watched them fall asleep in my arms. I love being their mom!

Ok.Enough.Party Time. I will save my sappiness for Trevor.

We kicked the week off in style with Nonnie and PaPa coming in town from MT on Wednesday. Molly and Clark came in town Thursday and met us for dinner and a Guiness to celebrate St. Patricks Day. Cool Aunt Kate came in town Friday afternoon and we went for pizza and ice-cream with everyone! Between all the outings I was able to put together some treats for the girls and all the birthday party friends we are meeting tomorrow! Elmo is the theme of the day...

Well, I have no hesitation to say I am struggling. Three is so much harder. I have days when I just want to buy a cheap one way ticket to the bahamas. I feel defeated in some way and sad. I miss the days when I cared about what my hair and outfit looked like before I walked out the door.

***Side note to Hadley, Addison, and Ryder -if you read this blog one day-I love you all. I prayed for you everyday and I know what I feel is normal. People do what I do everyday. So, while I listen to Addison yell for Elmo during nap time, whom I am sure has fallen on the floor, I will keep typing this entry, maybe make some tea, and even sneak in a little DVR before I go to your rescue.

Alas, we do have days like today... when all 3 kids and myself seem to stay in human form. We laugh together, count trees, pick flowers, swing, and even smile for the camera. We eat lunch and make Ryder smile with our silly songs. We read books in big flower hats and make a city of dominoes all over the kitchen floor. These days are what keep me from calling that taxi to the airport....HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

This was our first Christmas as a family of 5! Wow...what a year it has been. Trevor and I have visions of more sleep, no terrible twos's (x2) and a baby that will finally sleep throughout the night...

On the other hand, we can both say that being on the "giving end" this year made for the best Christmas ever!! Those little faces learning new things and a cozy 2 month old to snuggle up with can not be traded for the world. We spent this Christmas Eve with Toni and Robert at Buckhead church followed by a nice meal together. We spent Christmas with All the Pitt family and Trevor made a fabulous Christmas meal. The girls received a small Toys R Us store that exploded in our family room.

My neighbors had a little sprinkle for baby Ryder! The Volpe's and Palmer's went over board with all the food, decorations, and gifts! I just LOVE the diaper cake-my favorite! Here are some shots from the night. We will not have to buy Ryder a piece of clothing for the first year of his life-he is set!! Thank you guys SO much!! You are wonderful!!

Teeth

It's the little things we teach them to do now...When did they get so big and independent? Bath time and teeth time is a scheduled routine in our house now that can not be missed by these two. I'm not sure if it's the toothpaste, the stool they get to stand on, or the actually brushing, but they LOVE IT! (So will the Tooth Fairy)

We had a wonderful time at HHI over Labor Day weekend! We stayed in a beautiful house right on the water and watched the sunset every night. Trevor and I were so lucky to have two fabulous vacations before Ryder enters this world. And...I must say,traveling with Grandparents as great as ours is the way to go!! I think they spoiled me more than their grandchildren. I slept in, read my book, and even snuck off after dinner for ice-cream with Trevor. It was a beautiful place and we all hope to go back in the future!

Watervale Vacation

Happy 60th Birthday Grandma Burns!! We all (21 cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters, great-grandfathers, moms and dads) celebrated in style at Watervale! I always like a good vacation, but this ranked in my Top 3!! and I LOVE vacations...

We had the best time playing Bingo, water skiing, going to the beach, cooking out, reading on the porch swing, taking Hayrides and hiking. I mostly enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts we had every morning at the Inn. This is just such a neat place to stay! I know Hadley and Addison are going through major family withdraw because they were spoiled by daily trips to the park from the grandparents and constant attention from all. :)

The Pitt family, Luoma family, and Maglione family all went to Mellow Mushroom Sat. night! I think the adults wished we could stay longer, but bedtimes seemed to have taken over and we called it a night! Great company and great (darling) kids!! There was a fish pond on the patio...

Daddy is in the process of making a stool for all 3 of the kids. The girls were the first to try it out before he sanded and painted it. We had a hard time getting them off of it...It is going to be a hit!! I see lots of hand washes and teeth brushing in our future!!

We spent a week at my parents cabin on Cygnet Lake! Weather was beautiful, meals were fantastic, and the best part-the girls had a blast playing outside! Thanks, mom & dad!! We miss you!!

July 4th Weekend!

Dave and Sabrina had a FUN 4th of July Party! We walked to the fireworks at Lenox at the end of the night. Girls were introduced to a Slip and Slide, lots of water toys, and puppy Madison! Happy 4th!

Children's Museum

Trevor took the morning off work on Friday and we took the girls to the Children's Museum downtown. There was so much to do and the girls loved it! Their favorite toy (and word) right now is, "ball". They do laps around the house with there pink princess ball, so that section was the biggest hit. Here are some pics of the day:Look at those faces. We got there a little early and had to wait for 15 min. Don't think they liked that...

The girls are 15 months today! Before I took them to the Dr. for lots of shots I thought I would swing by their school. They had a petting zoo available for all the kids to feed the goats, chickens, bunnies, and even a pot belly pig.We are ready to go mom!!!

Fathers Day

We had a wonderful dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Pitt's house on Sunday for Fathers Day! The girls are so lucky to have such a great daddy in their life!! Even Great Grandpa was there!! This was the last picture of the night, so we had to get creative and use bubbles to keep them still for 2 seconds. They are officially on the move...I love watching them walk!

Memorial Day

We had a wonderful weekend grilling out with neighbors and friends. Our yard is looking great with everything blooming. Trevor did most of the plantings, but I will take credit for the tomato plant that is actually blooming tomatoes! Yummy-can't wait! The girls spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Pitt Sunday night. I slept in til 9am and took more naps than I should have-it was Wonderful!!
